For anyone looking to spend less time mowing the lawn and more time perfecting their butterfly stroke or golf swing, residence at Heritage Landing at World Golf Village is your first step toward a remarkably fabulous lifestyle at a remarkably affordable price.
Quickly becoming known as the hottest new address in St. Johns County, Heritage Landing is receiving a high level of public interest as the newest community in The Neighborhoods at World Golf Village. The development’s “rustic chic” theme, comprehensive amenities package and close proximity to the renowned World Golf Hall of Fame far surpasses the mundane settings and limited conveniences of conventional suburbs.
Ideally located at the juncture of Six Mile Creek and the St. Johns River, and just five miles to I-95, this 680-acre project is the distinctive, “one-of-a-kind” community for the area. Heritage Landing’s project team of D.R. Horton, Ervin Lovett & Miller, Inc., England Thims & Miller, Inc. and W.G. Pitts Company is excited to unveil the beginnings of their very unique vision during its spectacular grand opening celebration.
On Saturday, November 13 th, the developers are pleased to extend to the public an open invitation to enjoy a day of live music, children’s activities, recreational fun, refreshments and model home tours. This exciting event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. and is free of charge.
The celebration will be in full swing throughout designated areas of the community. Guests will enjoy informative model home tours, fun hayrides, a marching band, inflatable moon bounces and slide, face painting, clown balloon art, games, prizes and more. Guests also will enjoy complimentary hot dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn and beverages.
“Growing excitement for Heritage Landing has everything to do with its premier location within World Golf Village, its resort-style amenities and breathtaking natural landscape,” said Julie Humphress, director of marketing for D.R. Heritage Landing at World Golf Village is a stunning, $45 million community that will include a total of 1,354 new homes in a wide range of styles and prices, as well as “ Camp Heritage” — its $5 million flagship Amenity Center. According to Humphress, the planned development will be built in four phases of construction, and total build-out is estimated to occur within five years. Home sites range in size from 40 feet to 80 feet, and prices start from the mid-$100s.

Richmond American Homes also offers an impressive inventory of homes priced from the mid-$100s to the low $200s. These casually sophisticated homes range in size from 1,364 to 2,929 square feet, and homebuyers have a selection of prime 40- and 50-foot home sites from which to choose.
Surrounded by the rich natural beauty once studied in 1774 by William Bartram, America’s first native-born naturalist, Heritage Landing is being carefully developed to maintain its environmental integrity. Not only do residents enjoy an abundance of natural amenities, such as indigenous wildlife and a variety of native foliage, Heritage Landing’s man-made amenities package is reminiscent of a simpler time, yet easily rivals that of any five-star resort.
Heritage Landing’s Amenity Center, currently under construction, is the epitome of rustic chic. “ Camp Heritage” harkens back to the good old days when playing a round of horseshoes and campfire storytelling came before today’s video games and television marathons.
As the cornerstone of the community, the planned main facilities of Camp Heritage are reminiscent of the traditional Florida “Cracker” style houses built by our early settlers. The facilities will be constructed of durable stressed Mountain Heart Pine, clapboard-style siding, a cedar shake finish, natural stone accents and silver metal roofing. Covered front and back porches will serve as wonderful places to get to know neighbors and foster new friendships.
Incorporated into Heritage Landing’s unspoiled natural setting is a “summer camp” theme that perfectly blends the great outdoors with modern convenience. Camp Central will house a multitude of indoor amenities, such as a Clubhouse with multi-purpose “Heritage Room,” state-of-the-art fitness facility, men and women’s bath houses, catering kitchen, bar and much more.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy Camp Heritage’s camp activity area, featuring: An outdoor storytelling pavilion with campfire ring and movie screen; bath houses for men and women, volleyball and horseshoe pits, shuffleboard and bocce ball courts, fishing pier, shade pavilion, event lawn, open pavilion with cozy fireplace, verandas and much more.
Camp Central’s unrivaled water amenities will include: A six-lane, heated competition pool, a lookout tower with body flume, a “swimming hole,” sugar sand beach, fun pools with geyser and spring themes, as well as gator and manatee sculptures.
According to James Teagle, amenities project manager for D.R. Horton, “ Lookout Tower” will provide a lot of excitement for Heritage Landing residents. The tower is 48 feet high, and the body flume (slide) is 27 feet high and over 100 feet long.
Other recreational opportunities found at Heritage Landing include basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, children’s playground, and stone paths for walking or jogging. Residents of The Neighborhoods at World Golf Village also enjoy quick access to championship golf, IMAX Theater, upscale and casual dining, boutique shopping, spa services and the World Golf Hall of Fame.
